Grimms Pastel Duo 40 Piece Wooden Building Set

Only ONE per customer

Soft pastel colours, warm natural wood and simple shapes waiting to become something wonderful. The Grimms Pastel Duo is a beautiful collection of wooden building blocks for stacking, sorting and creating little worlds of a child’s own.

Pastel rectangles sit alongside wooden triangles in two gently contrasting wood tones. Together, they become houses with pointed roofs, winding pathways, little towers or patterns spread across the floor. A triangle might become a mountain, a rooftop or a slide for a favourite wooden figure; the next day, something entirely different.

There are two rectangular blocks in each pastel shade, inviting children to find matching pairs, explore colour combinations and build with balance and symmetry. The triangles bring another dimension to their constructions, encouraging experiments with angles, arrangements and the satisfying question of what will fit where.

Made from lime wood and alder, the blocks have the warmth and visible grain that make wooden toys so inviting to handle. Their simple forms leave plenty of room for imagination, whether children are discovering their first small stacks or building more elaborate scenes.

A lovely first building set, the Pastel Duo also sits beautifully alongside other Grimms pastel and natural wooden toys. Its wooden frame keeps the pieces together between adventures and offers a space for arranging patterns and trying out new designs.

Grimm's Wooden Toys

Magic Forest Shop has proudly stocked the full range of Grimm’s wooden toys in the UK since 2012. Beautifully made from sustainably sourced alder, beech, linden and maple woods, Grimm’s toys are loved for their warmth, colour and timeless play value.

Lovingly handcrafted in Europe and inspired by Waldorf and Montessori approaches to childhood, these natural wooden toys are designed to support open ended play, creativity and imagination. From rainbows and building blocks to stacking toys, baby toys and celebration decorations, each piece invites children to play freely and return to it in new ways as they grow.

One of the most distinctive features of Grimm’s toys is their gently textured, velvety surface. The wood is finished with non toxic, water based colour stain, allowing the colour to soak into the wood while preserving the natural grain, markings and character of each unique piece.
