Alert, strong and ready for adventure, the Ostheimer Sled Dog Standing is a beautifully handcrafted wooden figure for winter stories, Arctic landscapes and imaginative small world play.
Its attentive stance gives the figure a wonderful sense of character, as though it is waiting for the next journey across snow and ice. Children can imagine it travelling with a pack, exploring northern landscapes or joining reindeer, polar bears and other Ostheimer animals in their own winter world.

Each Sled Dog is individually handcrafted from maple wood, carefully shaped, sanded and coloured by hand. The natural grain of the wood remains visible beneath the finish, giving every figure its own subtle character.
