Ten wooden discs graduate gently in size and can be stacked onto the central pole to recreate the tower, offering young children a satisfying introduction to size, sequence and balance. At first, little hands can simply explore the shapes and colours. Later, children can begin sorting the discs, arranging them from largest to smallest and experimenting with different ways to build.
The discs are wonderfully open ended away from the tower too. They can become wheels, plates, stepping stones, colourful loose parts or architectural details within larger Grimm’s constructions, allowing the toy to remain interesting long beyond the earliest stacking stage.
As children lift, turn and place each piece, they naturally practise hand eye coordination, fine motor control and spatial awareness. The softly graduated pastel colours also make this a particularly lovely set for simple colour matching and sorting games.
Crafted from lime wood and finished with non toxic, water based colour stain, the natural grain and markings of the wood remain visible beneath the colour, giving every tower its own individual character.
