This little Holztiger hare looks ready to bound across a meadow, with long swept-back ears and a beautifully simple running pose that brings a wonderful sense of movement to small world play.
Handcrafted from solid maple and beech wood and individually finished with water-based colours, the natural grain of the wood remains visible beneath the softly painted surface. Its rounded form is lovely to hold and easy to combine with woodland animals, farm scenes, seasonal play or an Easter nature table.
A small figure with plenty of character, it is the sort of timeless wooden animal that can become part of a much-loved collection, inspiring new stories as a child’s play world grows.
Encourages imaginative storytelling, small world play and an interest in animals and the natural world. The running shape also adds movement and action to woodland, meadow and farm play scenes.
